Without a floral print, it is now difficult to imagine not only the spring season but also the winter season – even it seems that we have already seen all the possible variations. Despite this, the designers again started to be frequent to flower shops, and in the Spring-Summer season, 2019 offer us new modifications of the usual patterns: roses, cornflowers, peonies and asters are now bloomed out of bright surreal buds or by chance scattered on clothes in the form of colourful appliqués.
Peas / Polka Dot
With the most spring-like floral print, only polka dot or peas can compete in popularity. A simple and at the same time complex print perfectly combines both with a monochrome gamut and with other active prints – floral, animalistic or geometric. For this we love it! All kinds of peas are welcome: large, small, combined, clear and vague.
The strip in the Spring-Summer season of 2019 is a variety of colours. And most importantly: they should be thin and multicoloured. A small multicoloured strip appeared in the collections of Badgley Mischka, Stella Jean, Y / Project, Monse, JW Anderson. Also, the striped total look will become an actuality, where the bands run in different directions. And, of course, there was a place for a calm classic black and white combination.
Initially, the authorship of the intricate tie-dye print belonged to the hippie subculture: in the 70s, a t-shirt with a blurred ornament was one of the most important distinguishing signs of movement. Now, however, the print has almost lost its connection with the historical past: psychedelic patterns, watercolour stains and washed colours now adorn not only festival tops, but also silk dresses, classic coats and elegant handbags like those from Prada. And this is the real trend of the Spring / Summer 2019 season!
